I have learned about PCARRD publications back when I first discovered the use of internet in searching for information. The internet has been a great source of information on almost anything if you know where to look for them.
The publications are so useful to anyone who want to venture into agriculture as they are written based on the country's tropical setting. We cannot find the same literature anywhere else. Yes, we may find some of them from other country's agencies but they are entirely meant for different settings, different situation and a whole lot of difference in climate.
Despite this obvious advantages PCARRD publications are not yet accessible in the Internet in digital format in which its maximum potential could very well be realized.
Internet marketing is one of the hippest thing today, but I am surprised why the publication on PCARRD are still using money order as their major way of payment. At least there should be provision for credit card purchases as there are unlimited options for marketing on the internet. Another possible way of payment could be GCash or may be Smart Money. These tools are readily available waiting for them to be tapped to their fullest potential.
With access to the above mentioned tools buyers on the internet can purchase these publications either the hard copy or the digital format, thus maximizing the availability of the publications to more people.
If any of you who may happen to know where on the internet may we obtain these publications please let me know.

Free Organic Farming Ebook Download
For the past few months I started reading and collecting books and videos about farming, specially organic farming. Although I have not yet tried organic farming myself, my purpose is to try to learn as much as I can before I begin my farming as I am not yet able to do so at the moment.
I would like to share to you one of the the first book that caught my attention its entitled "A Natural Farming System for Sustainable Agriculture in the Tropics" by Keith Mikkelson. Keith Mikkelson is also the director of the Aloha House a non-profit orphanage based in Palawan, Philippines. The book was used as a training manual for a sustainable agriculture course conducted by the author.
The book is available at www.amazon.com for $97 excluding shipping. But due to my budget constraints and delivery issues I tried to find a digital format of the book. After googling for any digital format of the book I came across www.lulu.com, it priced the hard copy by $62.53 excluding shipping and an alternative a downloadable pdf format for... free(yes free!)
To download the free copy of the book please click here.
Enjoy reading.
